Product Reviews
Cheap, does what it says, but has some problems
I bought this case because I have a 160g ipod and it's getting harder to find 160g cases and it's getting old so I want it to have a nice safe place. I was thinking about getting the otterbox waterproof case but it was $40 and all I wanted was a hard safe container for my ipod and the ability to play music when it was in the case. Then i noticed the Case Logic Tin and it was pretty cheap... so I went ahead and bought it.
I'll get straight to the point. It does protect the ipod nicely and the ipod is very snug in the rubbery inlay. But my only two problems is that the rubber/silicone (whatever it's made from) inlay is not actually connected to the tin itself. So what this means is if you are to tip over the case with the cover off (which is usually when you're using it) the ipod and the inlay fall right out. So I thought about gluing it in into the case... the problem with that is that it makes it much harder to actually remove the ipod from the rubber inlay... which isn't as bad as a problem, so i went ahead and glued it to the tin.
The other beef i have with it, while might not seem that important, is that the sliding cover comes right off... meaning if you want to play your ipod while it's in the case... the cover comes off. The problem with this is that it's easy to lose/misplace it, especially in a moving car, it would be nice if i could slide it on the back side of the case, but it's not designed like that.
The one last thing is that this does increase the size AND weight so it's not nearly as portable, but most cases do that so not as much of a negative for me. Anyway that's my 2 cents. Otherwise I'd recommend it I just want everybody to know what to expect.
